Our Company
I started Hammerhead Home Services in 2005. My name is Joe Grines, but I also answer to "hammerhead" by a
couple of close friends. I graduated from Temple University in the mid 1990's and had a successful career in sales and
banking. However, it was my side business (woodworking) that really made me most happy. I would spend my nights
working on cabinets and figuring angles and wishing that my small side business was a full time job. I wish I
could say that one day I woke up, quit, and started Hammerhead. But the truth is, my wife and I talked about this for
a long time and, as you can imagine, it is not as easy as just filing some paperwork.
When the final pieces were in place Hammerhead was started with a basic philosophy: customers will make this business
flourish and the customer must be happy and satisfied. We would rather have 1000 happy customers telling their
friends about Hammerhead, than have 5000 customers feeling just okay about us.
More than that, it is rooted in three principles we learned in elementary school: honesty, respect, and trust.
